About Me

Hailing from Dallas, TX, Slick Lady Six serves up post-punk, new wave-influenced, dark & dirty rock and roll. Comprised of vocalist Elle Chaos, drummer Mickey Murder, bassist Laney Lovejoy, guitarist Richard Hurley, and David Sebrind on synths, the group is steadily gaining recognition on the DFW scene.

Formed in late 2006, the band began building their fan base by showcasing their distinctive sound in commanding live performances at paramount North Texas venues – sharing the stage with such notable acts as The Independents and Hillbilly Orchestra. 2007 saw Tarpit from the band’s demo receive local radio airplay, the band’s appearance on OnQ TV with Debbie Sexxton, and a write up in LIT Monthly.

In March 2008, Slick Lady Six released a 3-track EP titled Pleased to Meet You “The Bloodwine Sessions”, to be included on the soundtrack of Doom Bunny Productions’ upcoming feature-length horror movie, Bloodwine. The DVD’s bonus features will include a Slick Lady Six video. The band is currently working on their first full-length CD to be released in the fall of 2008.
