I used to run a small computer services company that has gone under several names; since 2001 it's consisted of two employees, me and my wife. Here's the "Which Firefly character are you? test.My results:

My Interests

Wide and varied. Space exploration, fine foods, fine cars, one particular beautiful woman.

I'd like to meet:

Deke Slayton. Alan Shepard. Pete Conrad. Groucho Marx. Lea Hernandez. Joe Straczynski. Gus Grissom. Jo Rowling. Steve King. Clive Cussler. Buck Dharma. Peter Egan. Joss Whedon. Lois McMaster Bujold. William Powell. Robert Heinlein.Problem is, some of those folks are dead, so meeting them anytime soon is out of the question.

Music:

Blue Oyster Cult, Webb Wilder, Buck Owens, Miles Davis. Be Bop Deluxe.

Movies:

My Man Godfrey, Zathura, Serenity, too many more to mention.

Television:

Firefly, Galactica, Jericho, Doctor Who. Babylon 5. Get the idea that I'm a science fiction fan?

Books:

The Harry Potter series, the Miles Vorkosigan series, several others. And no, I'm not a fan of Star Wars, and haven't been since Lucas turned it into a marketing monolith.

Heroes:

Anybody who does what they want and gets paid for it. This includes Joe Straczynski, Buck Dharma, and Peter David, all of whom do what they love and are successful at it.Other heroes are astronauts like Deke Slayton, Gus Grissom and Alexei Leonov. They risked their lives, and sometimes lost them, in the effort to reach the stars.

My Blog

A DVD review. Want another?
