My first experience of electronic music was spinning around to Popcorn by Hot Butter as an infant. It wasn’t until I heard Kraftwerks Man Machine on my mums old gramophone that I realised that there was so much more out there. Listening to Landcapes Einstein a go go and Ultravox’s Vienna at my mate Jez’s house only served to intensify the need to hear more, and there was so much more

Listening, wasnt enough though, we needed to make it. Jez was the first to venture into the electronic music with a Pro One synth and a Porta One recording studio. I followed suit with a Dr 110 drum machine and a Korg 700 synth and what resulted was mayhem, until we realised we could link the drum machine and the Pro One together. There followed years of buying and selling of different pieces of electronic music equipment making of songs, some good some bad. The music changed too there are now even more great bands.

And the gear grew as well At present the gear is as follows Behringer, DDX3216 mixer. Novation Nova. Roland JV2080. Korg 03R/W. Kawai K4. Akai SVG01. Studiologic TMK88 midi controller keyboard. A music spec PC with a RME Hammerfall 9652 soundcard. The PC is running Cubase SX3, with Halion and quite a few Soft Synths. A set of Samson Resolve 65 speakers coupled to a Samson Servo 260 Amp. There is a shed load of keyboards, literally. Casio CZ1000. Yamaha DX9. Roland JX3P. Korg 700(yes the same one, with a little modification). At the moment my poor fiancée, Lolly and the kids have to put up with me taking up the dining room and shed with all my gear. The music is coming along, still learning new stuff everyday.
