About Me

I'm a redneck from West Virginia who went to college at Temple University, then moved to New York to follow my dream, followed by a horrendous but necessary stint back to West Virginia to become a news reporter/anchor. Following that fun year, I enlisted in the Army Reserves. Not long after completing basic training, I drove myself across the country to LA where I eventually landed a gig at Access Hollywood. A year-long deployment to Iraq soon followed (an experience I wouldn't trade for anything). In Feburary 2005 I met my husband and started to really enjoy my life. We were married in a beautiful ceremony on May 12th and I am happier than I ever thought possible. Little over a month after our wedding I found out I was headed back to Iraq. I'm currently on LSA Anaconda in Balad, Iraq, where I'll be until May 2008. Please keep the troops in your thoughts and prayers.

My Interests

sports - any sport (except fencing)I just don't get it, hiking, hanging at the beach (but dread the bathing suit), traveling, writing, cooking, working out, watching tv, reading hilarious gossip blogs, learning to cook, shopping with my friends, playing basketball, listening to the Howard Stern Show and spending time with my man!THINGS THAT GET ON MY NERVES: *when people talk to me on a plane and I feel I have to keep the conversation going the entire trip. I just want to sleep and read my gossip magazines, people. *static and fuzz when a radio station doesn't come in clearly. *that noise your phone makes when a call doesn't go through. it pierces my ears! *when people don't realize they have stank breath and they are close talkers. *random hairs that need plucking. especially women who have chin hairs. gross. just take care of it, please. *people who have loud phone conversations while I am watching TV. there are other rooms in the house. get there. *the word Nougat. *muffin tops on women. i just don't get it. i've had fat days too - it doesn't make you wrong - there's just no need to show everyone. *overly plucked eyebrows. *THE INSIDER, especially Pat O'Brien and that Spencer broadGet Your Own! | View Slideshow Get Your Own! | View Slideshow

Music:

gotta admit that I like Top 40 crap (JT, Maroon 5, Nelly F. and Timbaland, etc). Regina Spektor, Sarah Maclaughlin (the best),Pharrell, Brad Paisley, John Mayer, MIKA is my new obsession, Nick Lachey (quit laughing at me). Garth Brooks because I'm country ya'll. Love sappy love songs when I am in the mood (Peter Garbriel and Elton John - even Celine Dion). Love listening to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin on a record player. Also love seeing The Tom Nolan Band play live in Santa Monica.

Movies:

The Notebook; Shawshank Redemption; The American President; Time To Kill; Gladiator; Say Anything; Remember The Titans; Walk The Line; And lots more...why can't we think of them when we need to??

Television:

Curb Your Enthusiasm; Seinfeld; Good Eats; Unwrapped; Dirty Jobs; Flavor of Love; Dancing with the Stars; Little People, Big World; Oprah (when the women in her audience don't cackle); Any documentary on A&E, Biography, History, or the Discovery Channels; The Golden Girls; Sex and The City; Designing Women; Mary Tyler Moore Show; Da Ali G Show; Chapelle Show; Grey's Anatomy; The West Wing; Weeds. And like Kramer, Mary Hart's voice makes me shake uncontrollably and Pat O'Brien skeeves me beyond belief.
