Bio: Andrew Russell aka Sunburn got an early start in his music career, at the young age of 8 he was fooling around with a boom box making mix tapes of radio hits. After seeing a few live performances at the age of 10 he had has heart set on becoming a drummer… soon following he had a vintage Ludwig drum set and it just took off from there. After several years of percussion, Andrew moved on to other musical instruments such as Piano and Guitar which only fueled his desire to be immersed in music even further. In high school Andrew took part in musicals, jazz band and many other side projects including studio sessions, sampling and sequencing film scores and recording an album at the age of 17. It was not until 1994 when Andrew found his true passion, electronic and house music. After a visit to NYC and seeing DJs dropping tracks that erupted the room into an electronically charged frenzy, the path was clear. The very next day Andrew started DJing, and within a few months was playing out in clubs and after-hours parties while attending college in FL, quickly making a name and always delivering the goods. After several years in FL He was offered a position in an Off Broadway production in New York City, knowing the history and abundance of house music in NYC, of course he took the gig. After the short run of the show Andrew was left furthering his education and with more time to DJ. His seemingly insatiable desire to learn and manipulate music, matched with the confidence to break musical boundaries has developed a unique sound that can work any room.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
