My Interests

Music:

Band Website: sweetislandthyme.net
Band Members: BORIS CANANI - Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Vocals & Percussion ----- BRIAN FORBES - Drums, Percussion and Vocals ----- ALISON LOSIK - Keyboards and Vocals ----- SAM ELKINGTON- Bass
Influences: Grateful Dead, Deadheads, Planet Gong, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, The Beatles, Thelonious Monk, Bob Dylan, Toots and the Maytals, Cheech and Chong, Sesame Street, Natural Vibrations w/ Bob Marley, John Lennon, Chango, Central America, the USA, Arturo Sandival, Eugene (Oregon), Revolutions, Fidel Castro and Che, women leaders with cojones, and the Band.
Sounds Like: Imagine traveling to the jungles of Central America and you hear creatures chorusing out from everywhere. Now imagine Miles Davis and Jimmy Buffet had a kid and was in the middle of it all. An occasional industrial funk rhythming out of nowhere and the voice of some mix-bread human. Odd timed, sometimes KC and the Sunshine Band and then some home grown spacegrass added. Futuristic and then tribal. A soft ballad then a funked up song. Fun for you and divinely real. Like the sounding of a bell in the outer cosmos. Breathing control. On the edge cowboys on mushrooms. Pretty universal to a universal mind.
Record Label: Lost at Sea
Type of Label: None
