Carlos Voight was born in Invercargill Southland New Zealand.
He was surrounded by music from a very early age, due to the influence of his Grandfather an Electric Bassist and his Father a Electric Guitarist, Producer and Sound Engineer.
Due to this Carlos developed an ear for music and was constantly inspired in his youth by artists such as, Steve Vai, Toto, Chicago, Dream Theater, Steely Dan , Jordan Rudess, Sting, and Joe Satriani just to name a few.
Carlos progressed through the years with Credits from the Royal School Of Music UK as well as the Auckland School of Music and experimented with several other instruments such as Electric Guitar, Drums, and Electric Bass , ultimately returning to the black and whites and the power they can impact upon the soul.
Carlos is currently recording his new EP " Dual World Prophecy" a blend of Progressive Synth Based Rock and Melodic Modal Piano Solos. The album is a concept attempting to identify the dualism of human society.
Expected release date in New Zealand is February of 2008
Prophecy in a broad sense, is the prediction of future events or the speaking of divine words (divine Revelation) through chosen human messengers (prophets). The etymology of the word is Greek, from pro- "before" plus the root of phanai "speak", i.e. "speaking before" or "foretelling" (proclamation). Prophecy is a general term for assertions presented as the revelation of divine will. Sometimes the Greek word mantikê (divination) is translated as prophecy.[1]
In religion, a prophet (or prophetess) is a person who has directly encountered the numinous or the divine and serves as an intermediary with humanity. Prophets existed in many ancient cultures, including the Sybilline and Delphic Oracles in Ancient Greece, the Völuspá in Old Norse, Zoroaster in Persia, and many others. In Abrahamic religion, a prophet is seen as a person who has encountered, and speaks as a formal representative of, God; some are understood as founding or revitalizing a religion based on their teachings.
False prophet is a label given to a person who is viewed as illegitimately claiming charismatic authority within a religious group. The individual may be seen as one who falsely claims the gift of prophecy, or who uses that gift for demagogy or evil ends.Prophets are particularly important figures in many of the world's major religions. In particular, this article will focus on false prophets in Judaism, Christianity and Islam and the specific interpretative and theological models each religion uses in order to determine a true prophet from a false one.
