Graphics Portfolio : Eight
Eight's story begins in the early 90's, writing Graffiti in and around the Chiba, Tokyo area.
Taking his Graffiti expertise in hand, Eight learned computer graphics and found a creative outlet designing mix-tape and CD jackets for the Shibuya hip-hop scene. Eight quickly became a well respected designer and made his name working on graphic design for famous domestic artists such as DJ Muro and Nitro Microphone Underground. This became the lynch pin of Eight's graphic work, and he based himself in the Shibuya area producing a wide range of material from CDs to apparel to magazine pages.
In 97' Eight unveiled his own brand, named 'VisualReports' building a strong base in garment design. This led onto him becoming the Director of Nitro Microphone Undergound's spin off street-fashion venture 'Nitrow'. As Director, Eight works closely with 'Undergound' members GORE-TEX, S-WORD, and XBS on designing the wear as well as branding and general brand management.
Currently Eight continues to direct the brand in it's new incarnation - 'Nitraid', as well as working on a number of creative side projects as a graphic designer. All in addition to the continual growth of his own brand VisualReports.
