EXPANSION INC./KaptainKirkhttp://www.expansionnyc.com/• In mid 90’s, known as a buyer in the Urban Clothing business Industry. • In 1994, employed as a top Buyer for a clothing store named “Jackpot” (at the time, the store was nominated as the second best select clothing store in Japan by HOT DOG (one of the most popular Japanese fashion magazine). • In 1997, launched a distribution clothing Company in New York called “SEVEN SUMMITS, INC.” through an investor and acted as the CEO and director of the Company. • Introduced various US Companies into the Japanese Fashion market. • In the late 90’s, hired and appointed as a head buyer by a famous Japanese DJ named DJ Muro who owned one of the top clothing store in Japan named “Savage”. • Interviewed by “DNR” magazine and “COMPLEX” magazine regarding my expertise in appeal and fashion trend. • By 2002, became independent and launched my own clothing Company, “Expansion, Inc.”. Currently, there are 27 stores in varies cities in Japan (including “Tokyo Hectic”, one of a well-known clothing store in Tokyo) carries my clothing brand. Many of my collections have appeared in numerous magazines and have ranked as the best selling clothing by some magazines. • Since the launch of Expansion, Inc., I have teamed up and art directed T-shirts with Renzo Gracie, Jiu-Jitsu (MMA) World Champion and Large Professor, Producer and MC. Also, worked on a double-label with PHASE 2 ARTIST SUPREME AND AEROSOL FATHER OF STYLES. Wane (COD) Ghost (RIS) graffiti artist“.GARNI”, a jewelry company.“Masterpiece”, a clothing company and more. • Organized several gallery shows in Japan for numerous famous people . Assisted and organized the gallery show in Japan for Martha Cooper, a photographer in the “Wild Style” movie. Followed by gallery shows for Phase 2, known as the God Father of HIP HOP and Aerosol artist,and Michael Benebib, a Hip Hop photographer for the documentary Film “Inside Outside” by Andreas Johnsen. • With my expertise in graphic design, I have recently created a graphic prototype for “NITRAID Inc.”, a clothing that owned by the most famous Rap group called nitrow in Japan.Today, Expansion, Inc. is recognized as one of the well-known established clothing Company with its unique collections and artistic taste.
