Born James McDaniel on June 1, 1984 in Roanoke, VA, I was raised on a small farm in Sontag, VA...I developed an interest 4 music at an early age. I remember the sounds of Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendegrass and Al Green being played constantly as a child...After seeing the movie "La Bamba" I decided 2 teach myself how to play the guitar...once I mastered the guitar other instruments naturally followed 1 by 1...My passion for music grew more intense as I got older and I wanted 2 see how far I could take it...It's been an extremely slow process, but that can be expected in this bizness; My mother is my ultimate inspiration; I do music so that I can try and give her a better life, one that she's deserved 4 a long time...She took care of me, and now it's time 4 me to take care of her... I just recently got my bizness license 4 my record label "Hidden Trakz Entertainment & Co." so I'm trynna put Franklin County on da map...Of course when a nigga does somethin' positive niggas gon hate but thats what I look 4ward 2 the most cause they the reason I never give up...I'm all about collaboration and workin' 2getha, but u got cats out here that think since they made a few splashes on Apollo or some shit like that they 2 good 2 work with anybody...At the end of the day they still hungry jus like I am...No matter how much success I may gain or how far I get in this game, I will NEVER lose sight of where I come from and all the people who helped me get to where I wanna be...It's good 2 be CONFIDENT and ASSURED of yourself, which I am, but when u a CONCEITED and ARROGANT nigga, u tend 2 lose sight of who u were b4 u got big and that can be an artists biggest downfall...But in order 2 understand me as an artist and 2 feel my passion for this drug called music, i gotta explain my feelings towards the music industry.... The thing that honestly pushed me 2 try and pursue music is the lack of talent in the music industry...music 2day in my opinion is 80% looks and 20% talent...The music industry of yesterday that was ruled by soul crooners such as Marvin Gaye and Teddy Pendegrass has been replaced by fake ass niggas who dance their way 2 grammys, not by singing...My job is 2 put music back into MUSIC...whatever happened 2 the days when songs would come out and be an instant classic?? 30 years later that same song is recieving just as much love and respect as it did 30 years ago?? 2day songs are written to make a quick buck...a few months on top and the song fades away...I'm here 2 change that, I'm here 2 make music that will make people feel good years down the road...I'm not any different than the other millions of people on MySpace trynna get signed and show off what talents they have 2 offer...The only thing I can say makes me orginal is the fact that I write each and every song, I play each and every instrument you hear, I sing every lyric and do every background vocal, I record and mix every single instrument or vocal...Therefore in that respect I feel I'm unique...niggas in the industry aren't the only cats who can write or make music...It's a jungle on here, everybody wants 2 be put on...so what makes me stand out??
