RADICAL MOLESTERS were formed in 1980 in Otay Mesa, CA. Three friends from Montgomery High School shared a kinetic chemestry that exploded when they were lucky enough to be able to share a stage together.
The group started as a duo (Joe Mode and Mick Nemrod) who performed hard rock tunes from the Stones, The Who, and The Beatles. The only difference was they changed the lyrics with their own - this was before Weird Al Yankovic got the idea with his hit "My Bologna" (FTR, RADICAL MOLESTERS love Weird Al!). Lincoln Load joined in on the fun in 1982, and from the start the trio knew they had a unique and charismatic chemestry all their own.
Led by Joe Mode, the venerable guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, RADICAL MOLESTERS blended a unique mixture of Hard Rock, Punk Rock, and Beatle-esque Pop that made them a unique sound in their day. Too sophisticated for punk, too punk for hard rock, and too wild for pop, they defied classification. In fact, they defied everything.
There have been various incarnations of RADICAL MOLESTERS throughout the years of 1980 through 1997, but the core as always remains Joe Mode (Guitar/Vocals), Lincoln Load (Drums/Vocals) and Mick Nemrod (Bass/Vocals).
The band has recently come together to let you, the lucky public, in on their little island of glory. RADICAL MOLESTERS will be putting up audio and visual goodies from their glorious past in the coming months for you to enjoy.
