I was born (with a plastic spoon in my mouth) in Kings Heath, Northampton (Sir Malcolm Arnold, William Alwyn, Edmund Rubbra, The Paper Dolls) on 14.02.59, Elvis was number one with "I Got Stung", eleven day's earlier Buddy Holly had been killed in a plane crash. The day the music died was just the beginning for me. The first group I remember seeing on tv was Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich singing, "The Legend Of Xanadu" on Top of the Pops (careful with that whip Dave!) and the first single I bought was "Night of Fear" by The Move in 1967, with Space Oddity by David Bowie being my first album purchase in the early 70's (the decade that dare not speak it's name!) Cockney Rebel were the first band I saw live, they were supported by Sailor (Glass of Champagne anyone!) I've been getting on down ever since...
