My Interests

I have a wide range of interest. I was born with a pen in my hand,I love to write poems, short stories, songs and my philosophy on life. Dancing at Rodney's in the late seventies and in European diiscos in the early eighties...okay well dreaming about it any way. I also perform with a performance art/dance troupe here in Toronto. We have performed all over Europe and North America. I have been with this group for almost 12 years! I have always been into the study of numbers(numerology)and astrology. Travelling is really important, thats how you gain the knowledge in life about things the classroom never taught you. I have this really nice guitar that I would love to learn how to play although I prefer the Bass. 7 DAYS A WEEK I FEEL IT!!! FEVER!! MMMMMMM! The real "Star Magazine" the bible of the time. JENNY JONES????WHAAAAT!!! IGGY IGGY IGGY!!! The Family DO IT......

I'd like to meet:

I would really love to meet artists of the sky and of the earth, all you rock'n'roll cats, psyched out hip soul rebels out there creating change and keeping things positive, moving and inspiring. Outgoing, into big adventures, slickness, sudden outburts of outrageous behaviour, champagne taste on beer bucks is super cool! All your typical r'n'r type bad behaviour will be accepted! Soups On!!! .. Lets all get it together!!!

Music:

In regards to music,I love all types. The Strawbs I'm into anything exsperimental and abstract. I also like music that tugs at the emotions and inspires such as the blues and all that fabulous cheesy A.M radio stuff I grew up with in the seventies. Psych's fun in certain moments and eighties new romantic, pop stuff is cool too. In my player at the moment: The Churchills(Isreali Psych),Alice Coltrane, Sun RA, Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters, Rufus, Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove, Stanley Clarke, George Benson, Al Green, Jorge Ben Jor, Os Mutantes, Devendra Banhart, Ellen Mcilwaine,Pharoah Sanders, Parliament, Muddy Waters, Chick Correa, Flora Purnim, J.J Cale, Dr John. Seventies: Hall'n'oats, Player, Stealy Dan, Ambrosia, Eagles, Dr Hook, Al Stewart, Cat Stevens, Seals and Crofts, Doobie Brothers,America,Canned Heat,Chilliwack,Toto,Chicago,Art Garfunkle, Tim Buckley, Pheobe Snow, C.S.N.Y, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, The Carpenters, Glenn Campbell( you know, some Wichita Lineman)....etc. Tons of eighties stuff such as: Kraftwerk,Grace Jones, Gary Numan, Aztec Camera, Alphaville, Japan, Human League, The Passions,The Slits, Kate Bush, MFactor, Missing Persons, Joe Jackson,Cocteau Twins, Siouxie. Here are some other bands that I've got to mention: Garry Glitter, Trex, The Sparks, Bad Brains, Steve Harley and The Cockney Rebels, David Essex, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Makeup,Wizzard, Sweet, Heart, Bay City Rollers, Mott the Hoople, Lou Reed, Nick Drake, Johns Children, Air,Cerrone, Silver Convention, El Coco, Serge Gainbourg, Velvet Underground....la,la,la the list goes on and on. Basically if your heavy into music..we can talk! This is what i'm listening to now...This months required listening.."INNERVISIONS" Stevie Wonder. Tamla 326 Released: August 1973 Chart Peak: #4 Weeks Charted: 89 Innervisions is Wonder's 14th album, his third since fully becoming his own man, and it shows off his talents to luminous advantage. A master stylist and arranger, his music has a grace, a studied balance, that does more than just set off each cut in perfect harmony with its neighbors. Indeed, Innervisions may be as close to a concept album as Stevie will ever produce. Its tracks are coupled by a hovering mist of subdued faith, of a belief in the essential rightness of things; and if he seeks to offer no real solutions (should he?), neither does he allow for any easy outs, any quick glossings of the surface. The themes are simple. Life is tough but life is beautiful; find your own way, but make sure you're not simply playing the fool and kidding yourself. He gently chides the escapism of drugs ("Too High"), as well as the "Misstra Know-It-All"s who wear their ignorance like a shield. He saves his blessings for those who maintain a reverie of the world as it should be, as it inevitably is, the "Higher Ground" which must never be lost sight of or denied. It's interesting to note here that in the song Wonder directs at the "Jesus Children of America" (adding transcendental meditators and junkies into the spiritual mix), he merely asks them not to "tell lies." Later, in "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing": "Everybody needs a change/A chance to check out the new/But you're the only one to see/The changes you take yourself through."Reveiw taken from:superseventies.com

PINK FLAMINGOS!!This months flick: BADLANDS 1973 Terrence Malick's startlingly accomplished debut feature was inspired by the Charles Starkweather and Caril-Ann Fugate murders of the late-1950s. Martin Sheen plays Kit, a 25-year-old garbageman who walks with a James Dean swagger. When he first meets the innocent 15-year-old Holly (Sissy Spacek), he falls head over heels in love with her. Her father (Warren Oates), an overprotective widower, will not allow the relationship to blossom, even after Kit informs him of his decent intentions. This refusal sparks Kit into action, triggering a brutal killing spree across the Midwest. All the while, Holly is there by Kit's side, to witness the senseless crimes and ponder her uncertain future. WATCH IT!
