It's not the destination, it's the journey!

About Me

I was born and raised in Hungary , when it was still communist. My mother escaped to Germany when I was 5 and left me and my sister in Hungary for 5 years. In these 5 years my sister and I lived with adopted teachers, grandparents, at friends houses, and often times alone in a studio apartment...

My Interests

I love to read, ride my bicycle in rush hour, watch movies, and I love to knit and crochet. I love my cats and any animal. I love gardening. I love seeing people on bicycles. I love acting in front of a camera and on stage. I love nature. I love old people. I love life theatre.

I'm interested in anything that life has to offer! I love life and I love everyone who touched me, influenced me, affected me, changed me, inspired me, took care of me, loved me, hated me, and challenged me.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants to change the world to make it a better place. Anyone who cares about the planet and doesn't take things for granted. Creative people, who put their craft into making a difference.

Please, shoot me a message when you request my friendship. That way I can filter out the spam.

Music:

Hungarian Folk, American Folk, and anything that has violin in it or harmonica.

Tracy Chapman, Transylmania, Tom Waits, Gheorghe Zamfir, Quetzal, Primus, Johnny Cash, Kings of Convenience, Mozart, Flogging Molly, Liszt, Bach, Sade, Queen, Rage Against The Machine, Damien Rice, The Doors, Willie Nelson, Ryan Adams, Die Toten Hosen, Dusty Springfield, Norah Jones, Starsailor, Triple Chicken Foot, The Fenwicks, The Ditty Bops, Bedrich Smetana, The Mutaytor, The Black Rider,...

Of course I love all the 80s and the 90s pop and rock and heavy metal. Too many to list.

Movies:

I love movies that stir me. I don't like any horror movies! Ghost stories I like and any good drama. I like animal and kid movies, too.

Stephen and I go to a lot of film festivals to network and to get to know what is out there. And I love the bicycle film festival, that comes to L.A. every summer. You all have got to get on a bike and come out with us next year!

Some of my favorite movies are: Blade Runner, Ben Hur, The Crow, Hair, Once Upon A Time In The West, To Kill a Mockingbird, True Romance, Run Lola Run, Life of Brian, The Taste of a Cherry, The Red Lantern, The Crow, The Shining, Good Bye Lenin, Valami Amerika, Die Unendliche Geschichte, and anything with Meryl Streep, Denzel Washington, Renée Zellweger, Glenn Close, Geoffrey Rush, Jamie Foxx, Shelley Duvall and Djimon Hounsou.

Also: .

Television:

Lots of good stuff and lots of crappy stuff out there. I usually only watch, when I know that my friends are going to be in a show. However, when I turn it on, I'm suckered into these shows: 24, any C.S.I. series, L.A. Law, and Boston Legal.

Books:

Right now I'm reading "City of Quartz" by Mike Davis, "Az Arany Ember" by Jokai Moor (hungarian,) and American Theatre Magazine.

I love books! My fantasy is to be locked overnight or over an entire weekend into a library or a bookstore and having the books come alive.

I read anything that I can get my hands on. I wish there was more time for reading. But that is one reason I don't ever watch tv, because there is too much to read, and not enough time.

Some of my favorite books are: 1984, Before Women Had Wings, Winnetou, Pope Joan, The Da Vinci Code, The Secret Life of Bees, Brave New World, everything by Herman Hesse, poetry by Walt Whitman and hungarian poet and revolutionary Petöfi Sándor (1823-1846.)

I also read a lot of plays, and I like anything by Shepard, Chekhov (People, he is supposed to be funny!,) Ibsen, Brecht, Mamet, Chayefsky, Don Nigro...

Heroes:

My husband
My sister
My grandmother

Anybody, who fights for a better life for others! The kids in Africa. Abused women, men, and children who survived, fought, escaped, and made a better life for themselves and for others. Old people...
