Currently living in Atlanta, DJ TayRok has managed to balance his skill of spinning records and his passion for the art of music. This Baltimore, Maryland native has reinvented his DJ skills to catapult himself into one of the world’s greatest disc jockeys. He has been compared to many but unsurpassed by none. TayRok’s accomplishments include the CD King of Baltimore in 1998, the official 1998 SuperBowl DJ, and he is currently on the Phat Farm Sneaker Tour with Def Jam owner and creator Russell Simmons and Run formerly of Run DMC. Along with the sneaker tour Tayrok is currently the official D.J. for NFL Superstar Terrell Owens and his company 81 Entertainment.. TayRok has formulated himself into one of Atlanta’s most renowned DJ’s and has elevated himself into one of the premier wax musicians across the country ;Tayrok walked away with the honors of being voted Morningshow Mix D.J. of the year in the U.S. in 2005. With Atlanta as his home base Tayrok can be heard in any of the major clubs in Atlanta.(Havana Club,1150,Compound Atlanta, The Mark,Dejango,s Etc) DJ TayRok also plays in 6 different cities per month and is currently adding 2 more cities to his repertoire.
TayRok is one of the original members of one of the countries most pristine coalition of disc jockey’s referred to as “The SuperFriendsâ€. There’s nothing comic about these DJ’s and they can be seen in videos, on tour with other celebrities, in venues across the world and were recently mentioned at the 2004 BET Awards as Ludacris accepted his award in front of the nation Another recent accomplishment of Tayrok’s was being chosen to represent Atlanta in one of the most prestigious D.J. Crews in the country.That being the Pepsi D.J. Division 2005!!! A crew that houses the premier D.J.’s from every major market across the U.S.
TayRok’s talents began in 1990 and his expertise has shined through every record he has played and through every show he has hallowed his audience with since that time. Because TayRok is mentored my many great names, including Russell Simmons,Reverend Run, and prominent local radio disc jockey Frank Ski, his talents have taken him into a new calling in which he works to cultivate the lives of inner city youths. Interesting enough, TayRok has created his own mobile disc jockey company in the Southeast region, which will soon go national to offer other DJ’s the knowledge and skill to go worldwide with their own talents.
TayRok’s future goals include owning a record label and continuing to better his craft to reflect on the names of all the disc jockeys that have come before him.
