I'd like to meet:
***I REALLY WANT TO MEET YOU****!!!! I love my friends and I love my family! I enjoy meeting as many people--- from as many backgrounds and cultures as possible! I've been fortunate to be given lots of opportunities to meet many celebrities and famous people in my lifetime! (Some briefly and some I've gotten to spend quality time with). (People are just people--- it doesn't matter if they're unknown or famous. Everyone contributes something valuable to this world. You never know who will make the most positive and lasting impact on you!)---------- Who I have met and seen: Edith Head (on campus), Kathryn & Mary Crosby (they were very friendly and we spent considerable time with them in Dallas), Cindy Crawford (also got my photo taken with her), Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, Stevie Nicks, Gallagher (on campus), Chicago, Johnny Lee, Ruta Lee, Rex Reed (took extra time to visit with others), Neil Diamond (when I was out with a former boss), The Judds (also Naomi alone at a small function), Eddie Rabbit, Eli Young Band (great guys, both talented and intellectual), Cher & Chasity (in the grocery store, in Colorado when Chasity was very young),Heloise (from "Helpful Hints"... out shopping in Dallas), Dorothy Bertine (great American watercolorist and my friend), Kathy Womack (favored artist: Women & Wine art series, met her in Dallas), Lynn Simmons (international artist in Shreveport, and friend), Doc Severenson (on UNT campus), N'Awlins Gumbo Kings (my cousin, Steve Howard Jr., was trumpet player for both Patti LaBelle & Paul McCartney & Wings.... married Paul's private secretary), Patti LaBelle (in Dallas-- she had a very warm and friendly personality and took time to talk), Lyle Lovette (were in a small restaurant together after it closed), The Von Erichs (never watched wrestling... just grew up with them and occasionally hung out together), Harlem Globetrotters (gave 5 of them a ride over to Fry Street one night, merely to show Southern hospitality & keep them from having to wait on the "1" cab in this town). Willie Joe Deering (my father's cousin... who played with Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys... was Texas and Oklahoma Fiddle Champion too... he always maintained he was actually the one who wrote San Antonio Rose--- who knows?), Barry Manilow (after one of his performances in Dallas), etc. (There are actually too wonderful people to mention... I'm sure I'm forgetting someone very important!).

Jesus is #1.....he gave his life so that all the world has an opportunity to be saved and live forever in a heavenly home (hear, believe, repent, confess, be baptized and live faithfully). My Dad (he passed away in mid-2006-- no one ever had a better "Daddy"... he sang to me and told me wonderful stories, along with all the other things he did with us). He was a WWII Veteran also (in Manila, Japan, etc.). All my forefathers who came before me to help make things the way they are for us today! (May we all contribute something special to make things easier and more enjoyable for others! Too many people are self-centered/ self-focused and self-serving)---------- I am grateful for all the persons who invented the following: Heating & Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Indoor Plumbing (basically all utilities that make life easier and more comfortable). All the little day-to-day things that we have and all-too-often take for granted!--- and I also consider my husband as a hero, since he has succeeded in life despite all odds being against him. We've been through the deaths of our parents together, our home catching fire and many other tragedies. We're there for each other and each of these things has worked to make our love for one another just that much deeper! (There are many times when we thought surely life couldn't throw anything more at us---but it did). He put himself through college as a single father with a 2 year old daughter. He married again and both he and his daughter were kicked out into the streets--- but he always rose again to meet each challenge!
