Since 1941, the legendary 23 Club, located in the serene town of Brisbane, has been hosting music's best and brightest; from Hank Williams and Johnny Cash to Jerry Lee Lewis, from T. Texas Tyler to Jimmie Rivers (who recorded his "Brisbane Bop" album @ the club in the early 60's.)This musical tradition continues today with an ongoing assortment of current,primarily country, western swing, rockabilly,and honky tonk bands,with some blues,rock,jazz, and a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
Under new management,the club is currently in the throes of construction around the stage and kitchen areas,as well as around this web site. Consequently,we ask that you please excuse any mess found @ the club or on this site during this period and note that we are maintaining,as much as possible, a full schedule of shows.
The overall idea is to continue and contribute to the western american musical heritage of the club as well as provide an enticing and affordable restaurant experience (coming soon) for the community.So bear with us ,if you would,and feel free to call(415-467-7717) for any info not currently found on this site.
