Dr. Lester W. Taylor Jr, Pastor) I am a native of (Brick City) Newark, New Jersey. I am the daughter of Pearl Tucker Minatee, and the late Steven E. Minatee. I was educated in the Newark Public School System, graduating from its prestigious, Arts High School.I acknowledged my call into the Gospel Ministry in 1987. I was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on December 11, 1987 by the First Baptist Church of Nutley, NJ. (Rev. Lawrence C. Roberts, Pastor Emeritus) I was ordained by Rev. W. C. Hall and council, on November 10, 2002, at the New Light Baptist Church, Bloomfield, NJ.I hold a Master of Theological Studies Degree from Drew University, in Madison, NJ,a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kean University, Union, NJ in the area of Music Performance, and certification in Music Education. I currently teach Vocal Music. September 2007, marks my 24th year as an educator.I am a proud and voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. (NARAS)I have been abundantly blessed with the opportunity to work/record with many sacred and secular artists. In addtion to being a sought after vocal coach and vocal arranger, I have authored and catalogued more than 100 songs. I also enjoy facilitating workshops, retreats and seminars for Christian growth and renewal. I have a special affection for teens and the elderly.I rely on the strong qualities modeled and instilled in me by my family, most notably my maternal grandmother “the late Hattie Mollie Tucker” and my mother “Pearl Tucker Minatee”.
