You know who you are... Wait. Who are you?
I was going to jump on the bandwagon and say, "I like all music. You got it, I like it. Sometimes I dress myself!" But I'm not going to do that. Because I don't. The following list is grossly abridged for the sake of space and attention-span(my own) requirements.
TOOL - particularly Lateralus; APC; BOB SINCLAIR; K-OS - It's a joyful rebellion!!; GT vs Project C; St. Germain; Robert Gass; U2; The new DMX; Dave Matthews; Coldplay; All the musicians on my friends-list. They really are my friends. Not really... Pretty much anything that doesn't suck or promote recidivism. Music that gives you hope when you may have none. But not music that gives people hope that shouldn't have any...
The following list is also grossly abridged - this time out of laziness.
What the @$%& do we know?; Lord of the Rings Trilogy (extended editions, oh yeah!); The Saint; Bruce Almighty; Stigmata; Pirates of the Carribean; Edward Scissorhands; Secondhand Lions; I love a good story and an intelligent comedy. Blah blah blah... and so on. (Honestly, what does this really say about a person: I have too much time on my hands??)
Halo 3.
I love Christopher Moore. After years of reading nothing but religious and philosophical texts I am really enjoying some light-hearted and intelligent fiction. I have never laughed so hard at anything on paper as I do when reading his books, they are truly a gift. "Like bear!"
David R. Hawkins MD. Ph.D. Holy.Sh.D (this dude has degrees just laying around the house...) You are advised to leave the house now and get thee to the bookstore. Immediately. Or library. Also immediately. Go dammit!
The bookshelves (currently book boxes) are composed primarily of books of a spiritual(om), not to be confused with an astral(whoah man...), nature. Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Thich Nhat Hanh, The Dalai Llama, David Bohm, the life of Ghandi, Ramana Marharshi, Nisargardatta Maharaj, Course in Miracles et al..
No list of books would be complete without the entire works of the great J.R.R. Tolkein. Right on for him.
My parents who, despite their imperfection, have mastered the ability to perfectly love their children.
My brother, Kevin, who embodies all the wonderful things about life and humanity that I do not. And doesn't even know it.
Thank you, God, for them...
