BIOGRAPHY
..When each new band appears on the scene, they inevitably fall prey to the dreaded concept that is music categorisation and Exhibit A are no different. Since forming in 2000 they have been likened to such bands as diverse as Mudvayne, Tool and Vision Of Disorder and having been pigeonholed under every metal sub group under the sun, comparisons such as these have been inconsistent and somewhat off the mark. Quite simply, Exhibit A are in a genre all of their own. With their own unique brand of bludgeoning metal, the Stoke sextet are rapidly collecting fans wherever they go. Their blend of hardcore riffs mixed with screaming yet melodic vocals and a touch of the unexpected certainly make them original yet not inaccessible. Their ability to retain originality without appearing contrived has not gone unnoticed, their debut video, accompanying the song Breathe remained on the Scuzz TV playlist for almost four months. They also have regular air play on the Radio 1 Rock Show and a live session at Maide vaile studios for the show under their belts. They have received much praise for their debut mini-album A Safer Place with Metal Hammer magazine claiming it contained more bile than a cage full of Chinese bears.
Exhibit As unequalled style has secured them shows alongside the likes of Dry Kill Logic, Stamping Ground, Skindred, Breed 77 and so many many more, where the energy and brutality found on the CD is not lost in the live performance, this band are a definite crowd pleaser. With a dual vocal attack and a sound and style all of their own. Organ magazine even went as far to describe them as puss bustingly good. Whos gonna argue with that?
