Sean Dillon RIP He died while protecting us against a Paramilitary Organisation who were trying to shoot us at a Night Club in 1997. We will never forget his brave actions!!!NEWSPAPER ARTICLE FROM BELFAST TELEGRAPHMURDERED hotel doorman Seamus Dillon may have saved teenagers from a massacre, it emerged today.Detectives believe an LVF death squad could have been planning another Greysteel or Loughinisland-style atrocity.
But they were foiled when Mr Dillon (45) and two other hotel security men challenged the gunmen in the car park of the Glengannon Hotel at Dungannon.
The killers sprayed the men with bullets before driving off in a red Vauxhall Nova car.
One of them _ Cookstown man Christopher Cummings (42) _ was hit in the chest and is seriously ill in the Royal Victoria Hosptial.
The other man, 47- year-old Joseph Herron from Stewartstown, was shot in the chest. He is being treated at Belfast's City hospital.
Mr Dillon, from North Street, Stewartstown, Co Tyrone, was freed from prison in 1994 after serving a life sentence for a terrorist-related murder.
But he is understood to have cut his links with the republican movement.
He will be buried at St Joseph's Church in Coalisland tomorrow.
The schoolboy injured when bullets riddled the hotel was today seriously ill but stable in hospital.
The teenager, from Mourne Beg Drive in Dungannon, had a narrow escape from death when a bullet passed through his chest and arm.........................................................

Mo in plea for calm
PEACE in Ulster hung by a bloody thread last night after a renewed outbreak of
sectarian murders.
Northern Ireland Secretary Mo Mowlam warned of "dangerous and testing times"
after two killings threatened to shatter the fragile talks process.
Teenagers at a packed disco screamed and wept after seeing convicted IRA
killer Seamus Dillon gunned down at a hotel.
Horrified dancers, including the sobbing girl above, panicked as a Loyalist
Volunteer Force hit squad wounded two other staff and a 14-year-old bar helper.
The shooting of doorman Dillon came 13 hours after Protestant terror boss
Billy Wright was executed by Republican hard-liners in the Maze Prison.
Last night security surveillance of Catholic bars, churches and hotels was
stepped up amid fears of a "massacre on an unimaginable scale"
About 400 youngsters were at the disco in the Glengannon Hotel near Dungannon,
Co Tyrone, when the LVF drove up.
The gang fired 18 shots at the open entrance with an automatic weapon which
may have been an AK-47. Dillon, 45, who had served a life sentence for two
murders committed in 1972, was killed running towards their car.
Fellow bouncers Chris Cummings, 40, and Joseph Herron, 47, were wounded as
they scrambled to shut the doors.
Teenager Martin Carolan, who had been helping to clear away glasses inside,
was hit in the chest and arm. Police do not believe father-of-two Dillon was
specifically targeted.
They suspect the gang had intended to spray the whole dance floor with shots
but opened up as soon as they realised staff had spotted them.
A security source said: "It seems the disco itself was the target. But once
the bouncers showed up the gunmen fired."
One doorman said: "The car wheeled around in the car park and Seamus was left
lying with blood pouring from his head. The dancers were in total panic - they
thought the gunmen were coming inside."
Immediately after the raid the LVF warned of more reprisals by saying: "This
attack and further attacks lie squarely at the feet of Republicans."
The killings sparked rioting in Dungannon, Ballymena and Portadown and extra
soldiers poured on to the streets.
