Will post dates and venues June 2008!_______________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________BRIEF MUSIC HISTORY!!Grew up listening to my mums Diana Ross/ Mowtown albums/Old soul ..then went thru a phase of David Bowie and Roxy music...I am a soul girl dole girl at heart thou...soul 11 soul etc.. then loads of reggae, Bob Marley /Steel Pulse..( Living in Portugal and boyfriend at time bassist in reggae band ,yah man!)...I started clubbing at 14 and I dont know whether that 's a good fing or not..(all part of lifes rich tapestry I suppose)... I grew up in clubs!! Anyway, goin to all the hard core raves...Frankie knuckles, Micky Finn...'we live as one family' My god that was a track!!.. Then the whole scene turned to jungle which just started turning a bit too 'attitudey' for me and I started goin to garage do's...Norris Da Boss, Matt Jam Lamont...Gas, Koo, Aquarium, The Yacht, Arches..they were days!! Some of the stuff that was out then was awesome... I used to wanna cry at the end of a rave...NO! dont end!! Anyway since then really in to gospel music..( and a lot healthier lifestyle, love my yoga man!) the singers and musicians I have come across in the last few years are phenomenal ...nothing quite touches me in the same way..especially some of the american singers...just on another level!! Ah well somefin to aim for! Two years ago I went to New York for 2weeks on my own to check the gospel singers...it was amazing..sang with a few choirs out there..god what a gift! .... I am keen to get my material 'out there!'... Really getting into the London Jazz scene at the moment...there are so many amazing jazz musos on our doorstep!!
