About Me

Michal RudasHe was born 14.08.1981 in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. As a five year old boy he became a citizen of Piaseczno, which is located in the suburbs of Warsaw. His vocal carrier was started in kindergarten no. 5 at Fabryczna street . When it came to the children show, Michal was always a bright star and made all the mothers and teachers cry. The same was also happening later in primary school… If Michal hadn’t been so shy, he might have been a member of “Gaweda” - a very popular vocal band at that time in Poland…. Shyness or maybe a fear of being laughed at by school boys made Michal‘s singing silent until the end of primary school, when Michal was almost 15 years old. The beginning of secondary school was also the beginning of a conscious entrance into the music world. The guide on this way was a great vocalist and master of harmonica Beata Kossowska, who apart from teaching Michal singing, was also making him sensitive for music, develop his imagination and open him to the beauty of improvisation. After finishing secondary school in 2000 Michal started his education in singing in Bednarska Music School in Warsaw. His last exam was a musical performance directed by a famous Polish actor and director Artur Barcis. Michal’s artistic developments were not only influenced by school. Fortunately he had a chance to perform outside the school since the beginning of his education, so that he had a chance to enrich all he was taught at school, and more. From 2000 to 2005 Michal was singing in a gospel choir “Trzecia Godzina Dnia” ( The Third Hour of the Day). He was a choir singer but also had an opportunity to sing as a soloist together with famous Polish soul and gospel singers : Natalia Niemen, Mateo, Mietek Szczesniak, Beata Bednarz. In 2001 Michal took part in a very popular TV singing competition “Szansa na sukces” ( The chance for success) and was awarded with the first prize. It is a program in which people sing songs of some popular Polish singers and each program is a meeting with another artist and also with other competitors. Michal, as a winner of one program took part in a final concert in 2002 and also in other TV concerts organized by Elzbieta Skretkowska – the producer of this program. A very important point in Michal’s carrier was singing in a music show “Kwiaty we wlosach” ( Flowers in hair) , directed by Andrzej Strzelecki. Its premiere took place in Sopot in July 2002. After ending the tour in many Polish cities Michal started working in Roma Theatre in Warsaw as an orchestra choir vocalist in musicals “Miss Saigon”, “Grease” and “Cats”. Occasionally he also sang as a choir vocalist in Comedy Theatre in the musical “Chicago”. He was singing in both theatres until 2004.Since 2002 Michal has been recording songs for cartoons in dubbing studios as well as a choir vocalist and as a soloist. He has sung in more than 40 TV, cinema and DVD films. The most important are : Tarzan 2 (DVD) 2005, The princess and the pea (cinema) 2005, My brother bear 2 ( DVD) 2006.The next important event( summer 2004) in Michal’s life was meeting Adam Sztaba, a great Polish pianist, arranger and composer, who invited Michal to sing in his band in a new TV talk show “Moja krew”(My blood). Michal was singing in a four man band with one of the best Polish singers : Adam Krylik, Krzysztof Pietrzak, Daniel Wojsa. A few months later in Autumn 2004 Michal got another job offer and started singing in a very popular Polish music program “Jaka to melodia” . He performs here until today. When the production of “Moja krew” was over, it was replaced by another show “Taniec z gwiazdami” (polish version of “Dancing with the stars”), which became very popular in Poland. It is said that the show was watched not only because of dancing stars but also because of phenomenal orchestra conducted by Adam Sztaba. Michal has had the privilege to sing in this orchestra from the beginning until now. Michal is currently working on his first solo album.
