I started singing before my first birthday and spent most of my childhood dreaming about becoming a big star. At ten, after failing at ballet, swimming, gymnastics and volleyball, I finally demanded to be put in a music school and chose classical guitar as my instrument. Little did i know that my teacher was about to create the weirdest band ever -- a whole buncha tiny kids from the Soviet Union (oh, did i not mention that i grew up in Russia?) playing bluegrass music. And so my rise to stardom began. As a lead singer and acoustic guitarist of a band formerly known as Cheerful Dilligence and then Siberian Heatwave (oh yes, disclosing all this useful info is my gift to you, new Natasha Borzilova fan), that later became Bering Strait, I got to do a lot of things usually not associated with "normal chidlhood". For example, I had my 16th birthday at the North Pole. But anyway, eighteen years, one Jazz College, five major record deals, two country albums and one GRAMMY NOMINATION later, I'm on my own, and there's a new SOLO ALBUM about to come out. Since I still can't decide what genre of music I write in, you get to choose for yourself. Some people say it is rock, others say folk and lots of people say it is a hybrid of both so listen to the songs, check out my new website with more samples of the music and other stuff to see, and do click on the banner above and enjoy yourself! Peace!
