Most of his time , Mo is making music , writing , producing , singing , playing the guitar , bass , keys or whatever the track is asking for .
An instrument is a tool to create . A creation is the result of the things that live within your Soul . Creativity is Cool . Music is an instrument.
Down in the south of the Netherlands Mo has his own Dirty Funk Laboratory , where he's just Funkin' around .
His Dirty Funk Basement is stuffed with vintage instruments & effects like D6 Clavinet , Fender Rhodes , Wurlitzer , Solina String Synthesizer , Mini Korg 700 , Juno 106 , JP 8000 , Nord Lead , Fender Precission Bass , Rickenbacker , Fender Stratocaster & Telecaster guitars , some vintage Ibanez Guitars, talkboxes , wah wahs, overdrives, phasers and shit like that .All these instruments are toys to have a good time with while creating special sounds & tracks .
Beside collecting old vintage instruments & effects , Mo is also collecting old vintage furniture & stuff to decorate his house with . Funk is all over the place !
Mo has released several tracks on various compilations in the recent past.
Mo is working with his band Mo & The Family Tea on their first album . Time and space have to be right to release this shit , but Dutch Funk will be back on the map again when this baby comes out .
In the meantime Mo is producing new & fresh Dance Funk together with Dj Superdeluxxx to hit the dancefloors with their new band The Funktransplant . Some releases are scheduled for march 2008 on the brand new Us label Pilot Recordings, and that is only the beginning .
To keep the Funk a live in the Netherlands, Mo is taking it to the stage with the Funktransplant and Mo & The Family Tea. Playing live they create grooves that can last for miles and miles and you're happy to get caught in a jam like that.
Mo has also joined the Detroit Grand Pubahs to add some Funky Guitar stuff to their incredible Freaky Deaky live shows .
On the side Mo is working as a Music Therapist .
