Still in high school Provurbz is a holy hip hop rapper who has a love for rapping but more for acknowledging God. He beleives tha music is the number one influence to the youth today and understands that most youth may not be interested listening to choir church music. (Its still good music dont get me wrong) Most yoouth rely on their favorite rapper or their favorite singer to avoid and deal with emotional distress. But why not lead them to the main person who can deal with it ? The person who created it? God.
Provurbz is a member of Word Of Life Ministries where the pastors are Apostle Ernest and Prophetess Barbara Taylor. He wrote lyrics and poems for a while but kept it to himself. He began playing the keyboard by ear when he was 7 and realized he like making his own melodies. That transfered as he got older into making beats. But he knew he had the lyrics to rap but the fear of rejection kept him concelling it to himself until Victory 3 brought holy hip hop into the youth group at his church. " God gave me some lyrics to rap, but they actually didn't come out untill V3 (victory 3) brought holy hip hop to the youth and brought it out of me." "Seeing them as examples like their I don't care im doing it for God vibe inspired me to rap, big ups to V3"
Now upholding and understanding 1st Corinthians 6:20 (. . . glorify God in your body and your spirit which are God's )he writes metaphorical lyrics enough for the youth up to the ol' timers to understand the gospel of Jesus Christ. br.
" I really want to encourage the youth that it's more than christain hip hop and not to look upon me as a rapper. But as a youth standing for Christ and an example that obedience to Jesus is the best route to take. I want God to work through me to shed the light of Jesus unto our generation and help them understand that the condition of their soul is a very serious subject beyond measure and that there is nothing wrong with dedicating your life to christ as a youth to the fullest. If God where to take my gift of rapping away right now I would still be grateful that I would still have the abillity to Glorify his name any other way. Cause thats what we were created for. . ."
