About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorI really don't mind if you sit this one out...

For as long as I can remember I haven't cared what people thought of me, and it's only gotten worse with age. However, I will describe myself since I do in fact like who I am.
I can (and do) relate anything and everything to a movie. Try me.
I love laughter, happiness, hope, smiles, dreams, and good cheer.
I like to think that life can be an adventure, and in my head it always is. I was born with a natural indifference towards danger and a beautiful gift called "thirty minute shock delay". These attributes continually prove themselves to be useful in my daily life.
Sometimes the real world and my highly overactive imagination become entangled, which makes me come across as weird. But at the same time I'm very independent, self confident, and unusually happy about my life, so I manage.
I also have a tendency to talk far too much, but I still pride myself on my listening skills. I often make a big deal out of a very small situation just to spice up life.
Oh! And due to my lack of appreciation for society, my cynicism toward the general public attitude, and my desire for ADVENTURE, I want to live on a sailboat. It denotes a certain sense of freedom that I can't resist. The end.

My Interests

I love writing, action and adventure, laughing until I feel sick with Grant and Gerald, singing, sneaking, the ocean, talking to Zac about our full circle lives, knowing that I have someone like Alycia Drube, playing the piano and guitar, obsessing over Lost, British humor in any form, CHRISTMAS, ditching school with Graham, swings, DISNEYLAND, theater, bike rides, Ireland, walking, archery, reading, Olive Garden, watching/making movies, baking cookies/pies/cakes, dressing up for things, dancing in the grass in the middle of the night, eating, libraries and the wonderful way they smell, Borders/Barnes & Noble, coloring books, toys that are intending for small children, anything involving Hugh Jackman (oh the humanity!), ducks, and Wednesdays. Also, I am a huge nerd, and I am not ashamed. Talk to me about good movies and we'll be friends for life. ..

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who can make me laugh or who loves to laugh, Regis Philbin (it'll be great!), Conan O'Brien, Hugh Jackman, Ewan McGregor, Christopher Walken, Mickey Rooney, Snoopy, Kermit the Frog, Dana Carvey, whoever made this cartoon:
...and this guy

Music:

Soundtracks dominate a large section of my CDs. I've grown to like a lot of 1990s folksy bands (i.e. Rusted Root, Blues Traveler) and Styx, The Cheiftans, The Fratellis, Simon and Garfunkel, The Shins, Threes and Nines, The Beach Boys, Journey, Flogging Molly, Nat King Cole, Billy Joel, Elton John, Phil Collins, CCR, ELO, Colin Hay, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby. I like the piano as well as acoustic, Celtic, jazz, big band and oldies.

Movies:

My life revolves around the wonderful world of film. I love anything with Bill Murray, Gene Wilder, or Jim Carrey, HOT FUZZ/Shaun of the Dead, Willow, The Boondock Saints, The Lord of the Rings, The Princess Bride, Star Wars, An American Tale: Fievel Goes West, Christopher Guest movies, X-Men, Shoot 'Em Up, Pirates of the Caribbean, Waking Ned Devine, Tombstone, Groundhog Day, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Superman (old and new), O Brother Where Art Thou?, National Treasure, Blazing Saddles, Dumb and Dumber, Kung Fu Hustle, The Truman Show, Tommy Boy, Office Space, Moulin Rouge, Totoro, Everything Is Illuminated, anything Monty Python, the Marx Brothers, Abbot and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, all Disney movies (especially the musicals), Elf, It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, Ghostbusters, TMNT, Big Fish, Grindhouse, oh, and the Muppets are amazing. Those are in no particular order by the way...
Kevin Costner is my post-apocalyptic film hero. "Dry land is not a myth, I've seen it!"
Is anyone else about to cry from the excitement?

Television:

LOST, Spaced, Pushing Daisies, Psych, Monk, The Office, House, Scrubs, Arrested Development, Stella, Dirty Jobs, and of course Seinfeld.

Books:

All of them. In particular: JRR Tolkien, Timeline, The Princess Bride, anything Jules Verne, The Count of Monte Cristo, Madeline L'Engle, Douglas Adams (Hitchhikers series), Winnie the Pooh, The Phantom Tollbooth, Ender's Game

Heroes:

the good people of imdb.com, Dave Barry, Emerson Cod, Gene Wilder...and this plate of spaghetti I'm eating.
Kermit and his little friend:

I wouldn't call it poetry.

I wrote this for my English class and I kinda liked it so here it is (yes Clint, parts of it are about you):I met the most optimistically unwholesome being, swamped with what life had thrown upon him,...
