I am here for Friends

About Me

One of least American Americans you'll ever meet. I love to travel. Not 'spend a week in a beach resort' type of traveling (although enjoyable) but I prefer lengthy periods in the middle of nowhere, within a different culture, leaving behind the comforts of home. I want to learn more about everything. I want to be inspired and be the inspirer. I want a beer. I want to laugh and make others laugh. I want to cook because I love to eat. I want to sing. I want to watch sports, talk politics, and understand women. I want to sit alone on a beach at sunset, a mountain top at dawn, and at a campfire on a clear night and just ponder life. I want to stay up all night watching movies. I want to order a pizza. I want to learn how to play the piano. I want to make a difference, and I want to blend in. I want to be happy and enjoy life.

My Interests

Music's at the top of my list. It doesn't matter who I'm with, what we're doing, or where...I'll surely find a few lyrics that perfectly reflect any given situation. I enjoy randomness because it makes life more interesting. Therefore, any chance for a road trip that I get, I take it. I firmly believe that singing at the top of your lungs with the windows down is the only way to drive. And I don't think there is anything better than sweatshirts and campfires in autumn. Coolers or kegs included of course.

Music:

If I had to pick a group that has translated my life into lyrical form, without a doubt, Third Eye Blind would be it. If you don't know them well, look them up and read into what they say. From there, you'll develop insight into that which is me. Otherwise, musically, I enjoy absolutely everything. From classical to jazz to rock to blues to emo to country to hip hop, pop and beyond. Indie is where I've been sitting mostly lately, but like most everything else in life...when your mood changes, so do your preferences. And as far as my own musical talent, one of the best air drummers you'll ever meet.

Movies:

Quick sample: Blazing Saddles, Willy Wonka (the original), American Beauty, Good Will Hunting, RENT, Boondock Saints, Hoosiers, The Sandlot, NL's Vacation and Christmas Vacation, Old School, Zoolander, Tommy Boy, Braveheart, Big Fish, Ferris Bueller, Pulp Fiction, ALL Back to the Futures, ALL Shrek's, Planes Trains and Automobiles, Top Gun, Love Actually, Lord of the Rings, Wet Hot American Summer, Wayne's World, Scent of a Woman and Office Space. Favorite Disney's are Jungle Book and Toy Story.

Television:

Don't really get into television much, but when I do, it's usually animated...Family Guy, South Park and Smurfs. I get my news from Jon Stewart and SportsCenter. CMT/MTV, History Channel and National Geographic are my boredom stations.

Books:

Anything Roald Dahl and of course all works by Stan & Jan Berenstain.

Heroes:
