OUR MYSPACE IS CHANGING - ADD Y-ROCK ON XPN AT myspace.com/yrockonxpn !
As of August 1st, 2006, Y100Rocks.com will become part of WXPN (88.5 FM, member-supported public radio from the University of Pennsylvania). Y100Rocks.com will change its name to Y-Rock On XPN and will continue to operate as a full-time .. radio station (at www.YRockOnXPN.org ) and will be complemented by a radio show on WXPN 88.5 FM, Wednesday & Thursday nights from 8-11pm and Friday nights from 7-11pm, beginning August 30th.
Partnering with WXPN makes a lot of sense because unlike corporate radio, they aren't concerned with research and consultants - they are all about the music and serving their listeners.
We know that you probably still have some questions, so we've set up an F.A.Q. page that will hopefully be helpful to you as we transition Y100Rocks.com to Y-Rock On XPN. Rest assured that this is a great thing for Alternative Rock fans in Philadelphia. We're all very excited about this next phase of our existence and can't wait to have you along for the ride! We couldn't have gotten here without your continued support over the years and especially over the last 17 months. Thank You!

In February of 2005, Y100, at 100.3FM, was taken off the Philadelphia airwaves.
But rather than go away quietly, some friends of the station and former staffers decided to take their mission to bring modern rock to the people of Philadelphia underground.
In a small "Bunker" (now known as Bunker v1.0) in South Philadelphia, Y100Rocks.com was born!
Since then, Y100Rocks.com. has become an Award-Winning, internet broadcasting phenomenon (and moved into Bunker v3.0).
With a small staff of dedicated volunteers, and armed with a passion for the music (as well as some equipment with blinking lights), Y100Rocks.com. is now a community internet radio station, broadcasting 24/7 on your computer - playing the modern rock your radio is missing.
