About Me

Ladies and gentlemen.... this is our world in the ever cosmic myspace land. The Roddies are The Band of Brotherly Rock N Roll residing in Philadelphia. Northern Rock N Roll, yeah we never heard of it either but that's what we create.
The 3 brothers and cousin found the ever elusive "chemistry" when they sat down together and jammed after a Holiday Food and Beer feast. The youngest brother Keith found his niche in Bass playing after a failed fishing outing claiming "if I can't bass fish I'll play one." Twin brothers Rich and Fran started whistling songs then learned how to play the six string well enough to join their cousin drummer Ray and Keith. From then on the boys have been writing, jamming and enjoying all facets of music.

"The band wears it's classic rock influences on it's sleeve on their debut EP...The Allman Brothers, tones of Beatles and Zeppelin are in there, as is the musicical creativity of all four Roddies." - Philly MetroThe brothers (cousin included) have played throughout Philadelphia at the World Cafe Live, Wach Center, and various clubs and coffee shops. Love of music keeps the guys going. Here are some thoughts from the scene:

"My new favorite band...they're old school rock but new"
"Roddies are simply put jammin rock n roll"
The band's name is a nickname derived from Rich, Fran and Keith’s last name Rodowicz (Ray’s mother’s maiden name). The family is deep rooted in a musical family tree that includes their Grandfather Frank Rodowicz who played with the likes of Frank Sinatra and Artie Shaw, and the first Philadelphia Eagles grand stand band, their father who backed a World Championship Marching Band and played Bass and trombone in various rock and roll bands in the late 60’s and early 70’s to many other family members who all have music in their blood.
