http://secondhanddaylight.free.fr/ALPHA SEQUENZ was formed in 2002 by RIGECK RODGERS ( aka KINETIX ) -former of the cult COLDWAVE band DIVERGENCE .You can check also the DIVERGENCE myspace page in our friend's list just bellow ;-)The band started officially to see the day after a friend of RIGECK sent him a MOOG SOURCE . An analog programmable synth killer from 1981 . As it reminded him the sounds of his chidhood ( TV , the medias and KRAFTWERK of course ) , then he decided to follow the ELECTRONIC WAY OF LIFE . He wanted to create a music entierely provided & generated by synthesizers and rythm boxes . ONLY & TRUELY ANALOG , BUT EXPERIMENTAL . A sort of mechanical NEO-RETRO COLD SYNTH band which aim would be the depersonalization of the Human Body in Music in a world that becomes more and more VIRTUAL and OBSCURE . Playing with the duality of COLD versus WARM , RIGECK's ambition was to transmut & transform COLDWAVE into ELECTRONIC MUSIC . All will be robotic in his music now and since then ...In an interview , RIGECK said : " It is very true that today if you stare at all of the most simple objects that help Humanity ; you can realize that most of them are ELECTRONIC . Nowadays ; for instance ; people are addicted to COMPUTERS . COMPUTERS have rendered us their slaves , whereas they were supposed at start to help people's task and human desire . For me , creating a more cold and deshumanized form of music after DIVERGENCE was very logical . Furthermore , we have had to bear more than 50 years of rock'n'roll music and even today -the electronic music wining formula- held again upon this rock'n'roll classical 4/4 pattern format song . It's a shame . We must always destroy things to re-built them . It's time to go elsewhere now and accept our machine's addiction to control them endly in the future. "ALPHA SEQUENZ was born !! Year 2004 saw a sudden and unexpected revival into underground 80's electronic coldwave in France and in Germany . This movement came back with those 2 words : MINIMAL SYNTH . We used to say COLD WAVE before it ;-) This new flame helped RIGECK to continue composing and to keep faith in what he was doing ." I really believe that my music and one Music can change the curse of things , even if I know perfectly that it's really naive in a sense . Obviously , every music can change people on condition that this music holds a source into a social background frustration . Some are deep and some are not . I always thought ALPHA SEQUENZ as a mission for me . The mission consisting about keeping BEAUTY alive . What a captivating aim in life for me !
