When i'm not defending Perth one song at a time i study independant filmmaking and creative writing at Curtin Uni. I started playing guitar in year 8 after i discovered Metallica. For the next two years or so i devoted myself to playing as fast as possible, but once i mellowed out a little around year 11 i discovered that there was a lot more to music than heavy metal. After briefly delving into the blues i was struck speechless by Elliott Smith, which led to The Beatles, The Eels and pretty much everything else listed in my influences.
I've been writing songs for the last 3 years or so but i feel that my style has only started to solidify. I've played in a couple of bands but i'm drawn to the romanticism of the singer-songwriter, so i've decided to go the DIY route for now. I've nearly finished setting up an amateur studio in my bedroom which i hope to record more of my songs on.
If you like a song then please download it, they're worthless to me unless somebody hears them and feels better. I'm pretty sure i could trace every identifiable part of my personality and appearance to a song somewhere that touched me. I'll always be updating with new songs as i write/record them, so add me and stay in touch.
