EIGHT-LEGGED GUITAR SOLOS ....

About Me

The three of us have been playing different instruments in various garage bands in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties for over a decade. A couple of years ago we ran into each other in the Santa Barbara area, decided to get a band together, and Personal Crisis was born. Our roots are pretty much in old school punk rock, skateboarding, hot rods, and wrecking airplanes. Lots of people think we look alike, but we're not related. We play parties, birthdays, weddings, funerals, and political fund raisers, but haven't really broken into the club scene. At the moment we don't have a permanent singer, hence the absence of lyrics in some of the songs posted here. We recorded a seven song, self-titled "Personal Crisis" demo EP in 2006. The sound quality was terrible and you can laugh at our mistakes, but hey, we were just having a good time. "Unleaded" was recorded live on Thanksgiving Day 2007 at Punk Rock Mickey in Covina, CA, with guest vocalist Mad Matt. The "Street Sleeper" single was recorded 12/8/07 at Paulson Studios in Carpinteria with JT as guest vocalist. We recorded a cover of the Clash's "Know Your Rights" at Evil Import Sound Studio in Ventura, with Gumby as guest vocalist. Dude, why do they call you Gumby?
