| View Show | Create Your OwnWWW.KIVINBAUZO.com ______________________________________________________ Kivin Bauzo is a 1996 graduate of the City University of New York where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, majoring in Speech and Theater. After graduation, he studied drama in London, England and then completed a leadership internship in Costa Rica. Upon returning to New York City, he worked as a teacher for the Board of Education of New York and later was employed as a Family Services Specialist for the Young Adult Institute. In 1999, Kivin moved to Cleveland and has collaborated in the development of the arts throughout Northeast Ohio. In 2003, he choreographed Team Fashion, representing Cleveland at the International Model and Talent Association competitions held in New York City, where they were awarded First Prize. Kivin is currently a Support Administrator for the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and teaches acting and modeling for Barbizon/Stone Agency. Kivin's interest in photography began in 2003 when he participated in a workshop entitled "Unseen America," a nation-wide project sponsored by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). Eventually, his photographs were selected to be part of "Unseen Cleveland," an exhibit held at the Creative Impetus Gallery. Kivin's photo, entitled "Barbershop," has received numerous awards and distinctions: it was exhibited in New York City as part of "Unseen America" (2004); First place winner for the 3rd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest, American Category (2006);. "Barbershop" can be found in the luscious hardbound collection "Unseen America" by Harper and Collins, releases at the Guggenheim in New York City and at MOCA in Cleveland (2006) Additional photos by Kivin have appeared at "Latin American Exposures" at the Gallery of Photographic Arts (2005); "Faces" at Cleveland State University (2005); and Arte Fino Gallery Café (2005-2006); "Navidad" at The Stocker Arts Center of the Lorain County Community College (2005-06) "International Studio Theater", in New York City (2006) and Hopkins International Airport in Cleveland, Ohio (2006)and Friends Gallery at Kendal, Oberlin.
