About Me

Natalie Cowx
Natalie is from Scotland and travelled to Cambodia in May 2005 where she visited the Landmine Museum. She was personally touched, especially by the spirit of the children and wants to use her profession as Graphic Designer to help by communicating the destruction of landmines through the stories of the children.
She is currently in Australia and wants to use her time here to support the charity with hope of really making a long term difference. She graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art Dundee where she worked for two years with Navyblue Design Group Edinburgh. She is currently working for a Brisbane based design studio.
Project: Book design
A book telling the stories of 20 children who have survived landmine accidents and the aftermath of their lives.
The book will tell the stories and experiences of the children, most of them landmine accident survivors, who are supported by this charity. The children all live at the Cambodia Landmine Museum & Akira Mine Action Gallery in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The founder and curator of this museum/gallery, Aki Ra, is a former conscripted Khmer Rouge child soldier who has now devoted his life to making his country safe again and to providing a safe and loving home for many children who are the victims of mines.
Your involvement in this project would see money raised going directly to the children to help them with their education and to see Aki Ra’s mission, ‘I want to make my country safe for my people.’ become reality. The book will be selling to visitors to the Museum from all over the world, so the exposure to such a charity will be quite significant.
To find out more or to donate, please message Natalie direct. She will be more than happy to help you :)
Sponsorship from you would see your name printed in the book as a thankyou to your support.
Thankyou!
