About Me

Started playing the upright bass or double bass at the age of 10. In 9th grade, I switched to electric bass. First real band was named Neo-Savage, I played in this band when I was 17. Went to Musicians Institute (Hollywood, CA) in 1987, RACER X ROCKED! After leaving L.A., I returned back to Michigan and started to take college courses majoring in music, joined Steel Rose (rock cover song band) and promptly stopped taking classes. Played in a Flint band by the name of The Need, a great punk-meets-king Crimson band. After that band fell apart, Eric Williams (singer, guitarist, great song writer and a hell of a nice guy) and I started a band called The Emaculate Love Carrots, in the pocket groooooove band with Jim Hamady (Drums) and Rich Small (guitars), probably the most fun band that I have ever played in. Started going back to college to study geology. While living in Kalamazoo in the early 90s, I joined a band named Zues Lee and later Eye Teeth. I recorded an ep, Threnody, while playing in Eye Teeth. Finished my BS degree at WMU, majoring in Field Hydrogeology. I moved to southeast Michigan in the late 90s and joined up with a guitarist by the name of Tony Young (instrumental guitarist.) I ended up going back to study at EMU in the late 90s for urban and regional planning. Notable bands that I have had the pleasure of jamming with over the last few years are Denied By Distance and After The Ashes. I am currently recording with Jason Cate and Jim Hamady in a project band by the name of Aisle of Delivery. Peace Out ........Keith Da' BassmanMy last Gig with After The Ashes...and apart from the jack on my bass cutting out on several occassions, the gig went well. After The Ashes - I Believe @ The Machine Shop 7/13/07
