About Me

After the Battle of the Boyne, he was one day eating his dinner in a sandpit. An English Dragoon discovered him and at once demanded the scanty remains of the soldiers repast, which was promptly denyed him. However, Mr Kirwan, being apprehensive of the perilous condition he was placed in the midst of the enemy's camp, offered half to the officer. But the Dragoon said he would not be satisfied unless he got all "Well then", said Mr Kirwan, "let the best swordsman have it".
