Social Hero

Our Mission is Simple: To Rock as Hard as We Can.

About Me

Founded 9 years ago by two best friends in high school, Social Hero, a five-piece Rock act from New York City, seeks to herald a Renaissance of Rock and Roll. They also happen to be a certifiably crazy family affair. Lead singer David Lloyd crafts catchy, progressive songs, and is flanked by the Lotti brothers—Griffin on lead guitar and Brandon on bass—who have been playing in various New York City bands for over a decade. On additional vocals is Dave’s father, Ian Lloyd, whose band "Stories" had a million selling hit, "Brother Louie" in '73. Together they have some of the tightest Rock harmonies you'll hear anywhere. Rounding out the troop is Ray Odabashian, the bomb-dropping bombardier of drum-bombs.
Together, the gang of five treats every audience to a highly polished and explosive performance, with a stage presence you won’t soon forget.
The story of Social Hero begins with their catalogue of tightly crafted original music, which showcases "a taste for power-pop hooks, crunchy guitars and arty embellishments" (Time Out New York). The band draws influences from a wide range of styles, but the sound of Social Hero is sown mainly from the seeds of classic and modern rock. Indeed, if Cream and Led Zeppelin had a bastard child of Rock and Roll that grew up on the early ‘90s alternative rock explosion, Social Hero would be it!
