Pamela Copus and Randy Copus, the duo known as 2002, have charted 8 albums on the Billboard Charts in the past 10 years. This Moment Now, won the COVR award for Best New Age Album in 2003. 2002 made the list of top new age artists in the Billboard Magazine Year in Review issue, December 2003. Also on the list; Yanni, Manhneim Steamroller, Jim Brickman, George Winston & Enya.
2002 released their first CD, Wings in 1992, launching their own record label they called Dreamtime Records. Wings was soon picked up for distribution by Music Design and New Leaf.
By 1995, Wings had done quite well and a second CD, Savitri was released. This CD caught the attention of Sausalito-based record label Real Music, who offered the couple a 6 album record contract. The first of the 6 CDs, Chrysalis, was released by Real Music in 1997 and charted on Billboard Magazine's New Age Chart for 7 weeks.
In the following years, Pamela and Randy released 6 more albums under Real Music: Land of Forever, River of Stars, Across an Ocean of Dreams, The Sacred Well, This Moment Now and The Emerald Way. These albums, along with Chrysalis, charted on Billboard for a total of 264 weeks. Real Music also picked up 2002's back catalog, Wings and Saviti and re-released both albums with new artwork.
Pamela and Randy record all their music at their state-of-the-art studio. Randy Copus plays piano, electric cello, guitar, bass and keyboards. Pamela Copus plays flutes, harp, keyboards and a wind instrument called a WX5. Both musicians also provide all of the vocals on their albums, recording their voices many, many times and layering them to create a "virtual choir" with a celestial, angelic quality. The vocals also have many dimensions, as words and chants in Sanskrit, Spanish, Latin and Japanese, representing sacred traditions throughout the world, can be heard on their albums.
2002 recently signed with Gemini Sun Records. Their first release "Deep Still Blue" on May 8, 2007 features 10 all new songs and a bonus DVD of the music matched to videos of beautiful oceanic photography by Susan Saibara.
2002 is currently moving into the exciting new avenues created by 5.1 surround sound and DVD. Their newly constructed studio has been equipped with the latest technology to explore both video and music for DVD, the web and the world.

Lyrics:

Moment of Love
(sung by Randy Copus)

You could take away the sun
You could take away the sky
We’d always have this moment of love
We could follow every dream
We could chase it to the stars
We’d always have this moment of love
We will always have this moment of love

When I look into your eyes I know it’s true
Even now this world begins and ends with you With you

When the darkness arrives
Like a storm in the night
If I just hear your voice
It guides me home
Light returning again
Never reaching the end
Of this love

If the wind refused to blow
If the moon would fly away
We would always have this moment of love
We will always have this moment...
