About Me
I havn't been at home much this summer. I've been mainly in the field at Festies! Some of these were:
Thornborough Festival - I organised the acoustic stage. It rained again. Had some great acts on my stage. Highlights for me were Tigerbomb, John Harrison and the Vicious Wolf and Leo Brasil.
Matt and Rachel's Wedding - What a cool way to get married: They hired lime tree farm and got bands and djs to play. I provided the sounds in the Chillout space in the roundhouse. 1st test for my new solar rig. Amazing weather, good people and a fun weekend. Me and Stigo flew a parachute off the top off the hill. Scary
Oakleaf Camp- Was very full of energy. Good weather. I was a rubbish Bog-Faerie but had a great time making up silly songs with the kids. I ended up upsetting Carol the organiser (I'm not sure how...) and being escorted from the site by the Dagda security. Highlights included the Fruit Song, improv with the Knitting Troll in the Old Boiler Cafe and Johnny Wheatfever's Religious Experience that earned himself (and me)a trip to hospital. (I don't know - isn't that what these things are here for? hehe). Oh, and shagging under the Stars.
Shamania - was not really my cup of tea (psi-trance, generators, peatbog) but I met some good people. Highlights were Marc the French Chef, the Coin Operated Girl and her Ukelele, Phil's Military Operation and Big Mike as security.
Northern Green Gathering - was wet and windy. I helped organise the power provision and the site lighting. Highlights were The Booze Hoo-ers, great music in the Chillout space (and Tea!), hauling the Pissy Bales (I got covered in Other People's Piss) and just the general sense of co-operation and hope.
Sentry Circle - was fun apart from a few uptight Pagans. Me, Crazy J, Johnny Wheatfever and the Borge sat around all weekend getting leathered and making up stupid songs.
Oh Nun of Onions,
Bring me your daughter;
She can chop the onions,
And I'll add the water.
and she went down... etc...
The Upshot of all this festival crazyness is that I have met a nice lady and decided to give up drinking. We will see how it goes.
In september I am helping out with 2 more festivals. The Fell Edge Fest in Addingham, nr Skipton (12-14th Sept 2008) and The High Head Green Festival (19-21st Sept 2008) in Wigton, Cumbria.

I live in a caravan on a farm. I'm off-grid and generate all my own power. I work all over the country as an Audio-Visual technician on conferences and corporate events. I'm into stuff like solar power and 12V electrics and making music and other stuff. I run a small wind and sun powered sound system. In the summer I help organise parties and festivals including the Northern Green Gathering and the Thornborough Festival .
Hmm do people actually read this crap?? Look buddy, stop wasting my time...
My PV system is a 175w monocrystalline panel into 660Ah of deep-cycle batteries through a Xantrex C40 charge controller. Off this I run LED lighting, water pumps, a 50w car amp, a phone charger and a 500w pure sine UPS that charges my Eeepc and runs a 400w powered mixer. I also have about 40 watts of solar panels that charge various 7-35 Ah 12V SLA batteries for whatever.
Current Projects: I'm working on more Solar Powered Floodlights and LED Festoon for festy site lighting. I'm also trying to get people to help me organise for Thornborough festival next year- check out the Thornborough Acoustic stage page .
