I'm a retired chef so I like to cook but only when I have large groups of friends over. I love to read, and I'm a huge television freak. I've been fascinated with how television and all pop culture influences our society since I was old enough to know better.

I love R&B, My favorite singer of all time is Luther Vandross. Some rap,some jazz, pretty much a little of everything. I love a good love song but I crave a great dance song.

Movies:
Dreamgirls! Jennifer Hudson's performance garnered her a Golden Globe, a SAG award and an Oscar for best supporting actress. She is amazing in this film!
I'm a sucker for the tear jerkers:
Untamed Heart, City Of Angels, and Sweet November are my three faves.
My favorite movie of all time: Shawshank Redemption...two words: Morgan Freeman!
Love and Suicide. This Movie stars Kamar de los Reyes and is beautifully acted. It has some of the most unbelievable cinematography. The Movie was shot inside Cuba and holds a great deal of history for Kamar and his family. Check it out! Television:
Ok let's see...I've always had a dream to write for ABC daytime. I have a minor in communications but I ended up doing Social work! I am a huge ABC Daytime fan; I've watched every Soap on ABC since I was 7 years old which is why it's such a thrill for me to be working with the guys and meeting actors I've watched since I began grade school.
I love 24 and I can't wait for the next season!
I also love Grey's Anatomy and Bones. Brothers and Sisters and Traveler have now become must see tv for me...ABC is back on top I sure hope they do something to diverisfy their casts and employ more minorities as they have been slow to do so!
Books:
I read all kinds of books all the time but my favorite author is Patricia Cornwell. She is the only author who I buy every single book as it comes out. I own every single thing she ever wrote. If you like crime scene stuff check her books out. You'll be hooked.
Heroes:
Ummm so many for so many different reasons...My little brother because he has learned to make himself a terrific family in spite of all our family craziness!
Oprah Winfrey because she (like me) is a charity first kinda girl!
Maya Angelou...well do I have to say anything other than Eloquent?
The Young family...If you know them you know why! They give to all us lost souls who need structure and family and I'm a damned site better person for all of them!
