Patchogue Records is an independent record label created in 2006 by art-punk band Venus Bogardus for the release of their 7" vinyl homage to dadaist Jacques Rigaut. Patchogue Records also distribute releases by our friends Le Chat Noir, Van de Woestyne, and Spectral Cars.

Venus Bogardus have attracted collaborators including avant-garde novelist David Ohle (Motorman, The Age of Sinatra, The Pisstown Chaos, Cursed from Birth: The Short, Unhappy Life of William Burroughs Jr.), Jean-Luc Bitton (author of La Mer de la Tranquillite, biographer of Jacques Rigaut, and contributor to the DVD release of Louis Malle's Le Feu Follet) and visual artists Stanley Donwood (Radiohead, Thom Yorke) and Laurent Collobert (Cassius, Alex Gopher). In 2007 Venus Bogardus play Glastonbury Festival (selected as a John Peel stage 'emerging talent' band), release the Motorman album, appear in The Wire magazine and are included on The Wire Tapper 17 CD, headline shows across the England and begin a European tour, culminating with a show at the New Glam Underground festival in Frankfurt.
