Dj DEF K is a name known by MANY in the music industry...
Head of A&R @ MILLION DAPPA RECORDS - DJ DEF K was a solid member of the legendary & groundbreaking rap group - The Demon Boyz. He is also well known for BRUTALISING djs in the DMC mixing championships!
Says Def K:
"Yehh maan , i used to huuurt djs when i was on the DMC circuit! Ha Ha! Everybody knows it!! But I haven't been battleling for a minute now tho, coz we're busy working the record label thing HAAARD!"

"As a member of the Demonboyz, if you listen to our second album 'Original Guidance' I appeared on most of the tracks [d-jaying]. This album featured the heavyweight GLIMITY GLAMITY track. Being on the road with the guys is a standard thing & l have recently done a special instrumental remix for Million Dan....aka MIKE J!" (For those that don't knoW!).
Previous to working with Demon Boyz, Def K worked with a group called Red Ninja. "Our first single was called danger zone feat mc 7t, which was released on zoom records. Our first t.v video appearence was on normski's Dance Energy music television program" (bbc2).
"As a dj i often entred the dmc dj battle's & was a veteran on the circuit becoming uk runner up on no less than three occasions 93, 95, & 96. I regularly battled such djs as cutmaster swift, dj pogo, first rate, mr thing & dj kofi who would practice with me".
"l never actually won the UK finals but who knows maybe i'll come back to one day to terrorise the circuit again!"
Def K's career has had many highlights including d-jaying for GRANDMASTER MELLE MEL & the FURIOUS FIVE mc's, LIL RODNEY C & KK ROCKWELL aka DOUBLE TROUBLE (from the film WILDSTYLE). "My best d-jaying moment was playing with Carl Cox (once a dmc uk runner up himself) at the university of northumbria, & i have been a regular dj on Tim Westwoods Radio 1 rap show. I had my own resident spot at the Subterannia night club on a wednesday night feat Ras Kwame".
As well as being a part of the phenomenal MILLION DAPPA RECORDS, Def K is currently running 2 Def Productions Recording Studio.

"No doubt i'll be in a club near YOU soon - we're reeking HAVOK right now!"

Also, look out for another of my upcoming projects: High Heeled Sneakers which is hip-hop with a twist of funky house (the new hip-house for today). HIGH HEELED SNEAKERS had a demo out a couple of years ago which was played on house fm & unknown fm, however nothing has been released so far.
For this project we are currently looking for a vocalist & possibly another guitarist. Look out for up-coming sounds, which i will posting a link to on this site.
