Now that I have gotten the explaination out of the way, I want to talk a little bit more about myself. My name is Saori Yamamoto (Yamamoto Saori) and I am from Tokyo, Japan. I orginal page was deleted a month before my birthday so I guess I can say in about a month or so I will be 22 years old. Honestly and simply I am just a fun loving person who loves to try new things. I love meeting new people and making new friends so if you're interested in making a great new friend then you should consider having me as a friend. I'm always interested in teaching people about my culture and I'm also interested in learning about other cultures. Before my profile was deleted I created a series of "J Culture Updates" and Japanese Lessons on my blog. If you're interested in learning about Japanese music, television, movies, sports, or langauge then feel free to subscribe to my blog. (^_^)
My life in Japan is usually an adventure. I try to live each moment like the last and I don't take anything for granted. I love to try new things. My family has always know me as a tom boy but at school I was known as a girly girl. I that's because I am a model and because I am active in so many sport activities. Other than these activities, which takes up most of my valueable free to to check my e-mail hang with my friends, I am also a college student Tokyo University and I am currently studying Computer Science and English. This will probably answer some questions about my English. It's not really as great as you may think, honest! I still have a long way to go! (^_^)
I've been modeling since the tender age of 15 years old. When I first started out, I was doing swimsuit modeling. After my modeling experience started to progress, I started doing other modeling activities such as bikini, casual, runway and sport modeling. The more I started modeling, the more my popularity grew and the more involved I was in the modeling world. I because to popular and my work became well known that I was rated one of the top five gravure models in Japan and was also rated cover girl of the week (which I proudly show to my new friends every time I add a new friend).
Five years ago, I released my first every modeling DVD called PROTEA (released 2002/5/07.) After that, it's just been one release after the next. Other of my DVDs you might see are Letter (released 2004/7/25), Saori Yamamoto: Thank you 19 2005/10/20, Saori Yamamoto: Welcome 20 (released 2005/11/20) and Destiny (released 2006/7/31)
These are my favorite DVDs and they're also the most popular out of all the 15 DVDs I've featured in. Personally my two most favorite DVD I have started in was Saori Yamamoto: Thank you 19 and Welcome 20 because I shot the DVD around the time of "Seijin No Hi" (Coming Of Age Day), which occurs on the second monday in January. It's not aware of what Seijin No Hi is about, it's an annual event in Japan which turns everyone who just turned 20 before you new year into full fledge adults. My birthday is on November 16th was it was the perfect opportunity to release a new DVD called Welcome 20 and it become one of my favorite DVDs.
On top of being an actress, I am also a recording artist. I love singing just as much as I love modeling. The only instruments I know how to play is the guitar (acoustic) but I'm also trying to learn how to play other instuments such as the electric guitar and the piano. I've been playing the guitar for as long as I can remember. I've played in front of serveral crowds but I haven't taking my music as far as on tour. I've only done events for theatres and for promotional outlets and other gravure events. I have record my music on a CD for all to enjoy. My first ever album was called " Toki ." Also one of my favorite albums I have recorded goes by the name of "Blue Energy," which is a mixture of all my favorite songs but resung by me. If you're interested in listening to the music or buying the CD then e-mail me and I'll be sure to answer any questions you may have. (^_^)
I also may have mentioned that I love sports. I've always naturally been involved into sports. Ever since I was about 5 years old, I've picked up my first basketball and I've never been able to put it down. I am currently part of my perfecture soccer team which won it's first national title 2 years ago when I was on the team. Also I was a member of the basketball team, however, it was taking up to much of my free time. Female basketball isn't really a big thing in Japan but I hope one day I can join a professional soccer team (or even a professional basketball team) or join an olympic team. One of my life on dreams was to join an olympic team and I hope I can accomplish that before I am to old to qualify for one. Even if I don't join a team, it's always fun to watch my country go for the gold in one of my favorite sports.
Well, that's about it. If you have any more questions about me, feel free to ask.
Hugs & Kisses,Saori Yamamoto
