History
Aliene Ma'riage are especially known for the extraordinary voice of Kyoka, which is everything but normal. The screaming and squeeking is easily recognized and everyone who has ever listened to one of their songs will confirm that. But if you actually take the time to listen to their music, Kyoka's voice won't be disturbing but a perfect addition to their whole music style, the catchy melodies but also darkness and depth. BIOGRAPHYIn 1998 there were various promising groups: NéiL, MIssalina Rei, Eliphas Levi or NOI'X. But over the years, band after band disbanded and the two that did exist longest (beside SPEED-ID) were Noir fleurir and Aliene Ma'riage.
Aliene Ma'riage was founded in March 1998. Apparently their name has a special meaning to the artists: "marriage and insanity" together with the 3 themes of the band itself: Madness, Drama and Tragic. They realise this not only in their songs and lyrics but also in their stage performance, telling the story of the siblings Mast and Ray, who have a mentally ill child together, played by Kyoka. They released their first Demotape, Kairai ningyo, and only shortly after the first Album Les oirée, the latter one went in repress a few months after release due to requests, it was followed by their first VHS Les soirée - butôkai e picturing some of their lives. In the year 2000 their first Maxi-Single Ma'ria was announced and already through pre-orders, sold out so that a second press was released at the same time. Their Fanclub LA matinée was founded in October and was named after a concert.
Shortly after the release of their album 21st Century in 2001, they disbanded. While they had practically lived the theme of insanity during their first years they became pretty calm in the last months of their common career. They decreased the use of make-up and simplified their costumes a lot.
Kyoka then tried a solo career first and founded a band named Cupid after that, but they never had any releases. Kyouka later formed Chaos +System, and is now in Deflina Ma'riage..
Mast joined Noir fleurir after disbanding but soon was nowhere to be found. Today he plays together with Ray in MIL. Ray also made his own project named Nega with the up to now unknown singer Jin.
