minimal Hugg first formed in 2001 after the meeting of vocalist KYOKO, and guitarist KEIICHI.
After 2 years of focusing their activities on monthly shows in the city, the band started their own independent event, "sub Trash beauty," in 2003. Using the event's name, the band independently released their 1st maxi single "sub Trash beauty" in a nation-wide limited production of 1000cd's.
In 2005 the band's line-up settled into the current 5 members and they focused on playing shows in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
On September 6th, 2006 the band released their fast-paced first full-album "ROCK STOP PANIC" on GRAVEYARD Label. The release was followed by a 21-venue cross country tour ending with a solo show at Shimokitazawa Club Que.
