Hiroko

I am a housewefe, not working at the moment. There are three of us in my family: my husband, teenage daughter, and myself. I also have a dog named Mocha. I have spent all of my life living in Yokohama, except for two years in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. Although we moved there for my husband's business assignment by chance, Edinburgh is my special place where my daughter was born and I got my first experienct to teach Japanese. I really love Scotland! After returning back to Japan, I started working as a full-time editor at a publication company. While I enjoyed planning and editing various types of study abroad guidebooks, my family was facing the risk of falling apart. After several years of struggling to pursue the best balance between my job and family matters, I decided to quit my job. Now I enjoy a typical life of a housewife to the full. But I am actually hopeless at any kind of housekeeping jobs even though I'm learning cookery and confectionary making. I love reading books and magazines, watching TVs and films. I sometimes hunt for a bargain or act like a groupie!
