With a band called .. pre-school .., singer/composer Akira and eco, keyboard player and lyricist, started their musical career in 1994.
In the beginning pop/rock, by and by being devoted to dance music, released almost 10 albums (not quite sure) from a Japanese majour label ..Toy..s Factory.., have toured all around Japan during the years. The band broke up in autumn 2003,then their new project MUFAS was formed right after the last show(for appearance.. sake, they say).
Akira was born in Tokyo, playing baseball in his childhood, otherwise being beaten up by his elder sister every time they came to blows. He got an ear disease when he was the age of 10,and one of his ears got hard of hearing since then (hears nothing bad), but it didn..t matter to his sister who smacked him up every day.
Still, his taste for music was under the influence of her, and his first record was Culture Club. He went up to the record shop to get ..Karma Chameleon.. though brought home wrong one, it was when he was 13 years old. When he was 14, the historic fight, which he won for the first time, had the young lady not give him a blow ever after. Around that time, he was liking some Hip Hop music, after following all the TOP 40s.At the time of proceeding to a high school, he didn..t figure out the meaning of it so he had too much diarrhea and found out the reason to quit it in 2 weeks. Now he had days at home, playing video games, licking plugs to enjoy a little bit of electric shock, tuning in the radio to the highest jarring and grating.
When he had enough of those, decided to go back to high school life for the second time. There he met his first girlfriend in upper grade, and the life was full of fun, until the girl ..s graduation. One more year to go, though he finished his school again. Listening to Punk music somehow then. And somehow, the girl left him and he was welcome back to hell. Down there, the band asked him to join, and he joined.
Non experienced singer Akira was to start to listen to all the brit pop music at that time, he didn..t hate anyway. In 2 years the first indie album was released but he now began to devote himself to Techno music.
6 months later of Akira..s birth, Eco started her life with dislocated hip joint. Born in Tokyo, moved to places for 4 times while having 2 big surgical operations. For her legs she took lessons at swimming club 6 days a week, which was absolutely too much, and started the piano lessons at the age of 5 for her own will. At home there were many classical music of her father..s, though her first music with lyrics ever was the Beatles which her big brother got given by father, the little girl believed that she was to marry Paul McCartney.
The very first record of her own was ..We Are The World.. that she paid 80 yen which was all from her moneybag. 2000 yen, the rest was from father. Because of that or maybe not, she didn..t fall in love with Michael Jackson or Lionel Richie anyhow. When she was 10 or around, started to make music with the piano over dubbing on the cassette tapes, also she wished to join the kid..s chorus, but where she (mis)taken to by her mother was an audition for a dramatic company. She didn..t hate to act anyway, did some TV and radio programs and stages.
The year she was 12, played the trumpet for school band, and in juniour high, the alto sax for brass band. During that time, formed a girls band and played the guitar and vocals, also she was into American hard rock music without having married to the English Man. When she was 16, she left for NSW, Australia for a year, as an exchange student with Tokyo Government..s scholarship. There she got an Aussie accent and big fat, the life was full of appetite. Back from down under, joined in a few bands as whatever she played,or pretendet to be able to play, no matter good at or not.
Akira and Eco have met when they both were 19, it didn..t take long to learn that their lives had been and should be full of mistakes and funny stories. To make things worth, they do anything except for giving up music.
Akira composes the sound mainly and eco sleeps mostly, also they remix and eat, every single day they are stepping over their own style.
