2001年、都内の大学サークル“Modern Music Troop”にて、ナカムラリョウ(Vo,Gt)、関山シン イチロウ(Gt)、スガタダイ(Ba)を中心に結成。
2002年夏にコヤマリュウ(Dr)が加入し、現在の㠃¡ãƒ³ãƒãƒ¼ãŒæƒã†ã€‚
2003å¹´4月にタワーレコード限定でリリースし㠁Ÿã‚·ãƒ³ã‚°ãƒ«ã€Œå‰æœªæ¥ã€(完売)がいきなり渋谷店インディーズチャー㠃ˆåˆç™»å ´2位を記録。一気にその名前を広め、 夏にはまったくの無名ながらASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION、ストレイテナー、レミオロメン、AR T-SCHOOLらの出演イヴェントのオープニングア㠂¯ãƒˆã‚’努める。
2004年のファーストアルバム『Retro Electric Mother』リリースツアーでは 各地でPOLYSICS、髭(HiGE)、キャプテンストライ㠃€ãƒ ã€ãƒ¡ãƒ¬ãƒ³ã‚²ã€ã¤ã°ãã€GREAT ADVENTUREらと共演。
さらに神戸の大型野外フェス『RUSH BALLã€ã®ã‚¢ã‚³ãƒ¼ã‚¹ãƒ†ã‚£ãƒƒã‚¯ãƒ»ãƒ†ãƒ³ãƒˆã«ã‚‚æ€¥é½å‡ ºæ¼”を果たす。
以降、主催イヴェント『ミライ・ポップ・フ ェスティヴァル』ではMOOOLS、まつきあゆむ、 pygmy with bitter ends、ghostnote、PANICSMILE、KARENなどライヴハウ゠¹ã‚·ãƒ¼ãƒ³ã§ç‹¬è‡ªã®ç«‹ã¡ä½ç½®ã‚’築いているアーム†ã‚£ã‚¹ãƒˆã‚’毎回招致。
2007年10月のミニアルバム『リコール』発売に伴い開催したイヴェントシリーズ『動 物の集合』ではAPOGEE、nhhmbase、mayonnaise、metro- ongen、UNISON SQUARE GARDEN、つばき、相対性理論、THE NOVEMBERS、嘘つきバービーなどメジャー／イン ディーズの垣根を超えたバンドをゲストに迎 え、サウンドスタイルにとらわれないライヴ 展開をみせる。
常にポップでありながら斬新な展開をもつバ ンドアンサンブル、そしてアンチ精神にあふ れつつ巧みな言葉遊びをみせる内省的な歌詞 を武器に、誰にも似ていない存在感を放ち続 けるバンドである。
現在までに1枚のフルアルバム、3枚のミニア㠃«ãƒãƒ ã€3枚のシングルを発表。
満を持しての2ndフルアルバムリリースに向け て現在準備中。

throwcurve formed in 2001 by four university students in Tokyo.
These young slack guys play music instruments just as they like,and get their own way.
So sometimes they're called 'strange' or 'twisted',but never mind.
In 2003 throwcurve released first CD'Zen-Mirai' including 3 songs.From that time on,the name of throwcurve came to be known more widely,and the band could have an opportunity to co-star with a large number of Japanese major rock musicians --- Art-School,Asian Kung-fu Generation,Straghitener,Polysics,Remioromen,etc...
On the other hand,they've shared stage with some great alternative-indie-rock bands ---Moools,Dip,Panicsmile,Meat Eaters etc...
throwcurve gets special influence from both of music scene.
During 2003 to 2006,throwcurve has released 1 album,2 mini albums,and 3 singles,and also played shows so many times all around Japan.
Now,the band started making new songs for bland-new album. It is planed to release in 2007 summer.
