Calmando Qual / Twisted Clock
Calmando Qual debuted in Tokyo in August of 2001 , initially with members Tak and Hibiki. Their sound is a heavy style ever-evolving blend of industrial and gothic rock. To date the band has released one full-length album, one mini-album, a remix-album, a DVD, and three maxi-singles including the newest addition to their discography entitled Twisted Clock. Calmando Qual's new releases are typically only available at lives, but as a promotional option the band has decided to allow overseas fans to purchase a copy of their new song "Emnity for God" online at DLsite.com . The downloadable version of the song even includes a text file with both the Japanese lyrics and an English translation!!
The band was formed with the idea of "Silent Pain", and as an extension of that concept, the band decided upon a name change from Calmando Qual to Twisted Clock in Japan, though they are still known as Calmando Qual overseas. The band has been praised overseas and in Japan for their amazing live act, and recently their focus has been on performing. Recently, they've done multiple tours in Europe and have suggested interest in touring in the states soon, but nothing has been confirmed quite yet.
During their recent European tour in March 2007, Vanity Entertainment had a chance to catch up with the band to discuss the recent name change, future tour plans, and much more. Vanity Entertainment and the band would like to send out a special thanks to all of the fans that sent in questions!! Check out our "Exclusives" section or click here for the full interview .
Calmando Qual's single "Emnity for God" is also featured on Cure label's new dark-industrial Compliation CD entitled Darkest Labyrinth. Overseas fans can purchase this CD by clicking the above banner or by visiting CDbaby.com !!
HeavensDust
HeavensDust's is a dark-rock band from Yokohama, Japan. What makes the band so unique is their blend of style, combining traditional Japanese music with modern Western rock to create a new, resonating sound. Created by musician Shin in 2000, the band has been dazzling audiences ever since. Initially, Shin took on the role of main vocalist, belting out three albums and one single all with a very dark, metal feel.
Their fourth album, Without A Voice, saw the addition of a second vocalist, Kazha. Her graceful voice adds greater depth to each song, mixing with Shin's deep-sounds, taking the listener melodiously through a perfect blend of both light and heavy rock. With four albums already under their belt, HeavensDust is a band with experience and popularity that is quickly growing overseas. Their album, Without A Voice, has already gained amazing reviews on the popular website CDbaby.com!
The band has one maxi-single and three of their albums, including the 2007 release [Without A Voice], available for international purchase via CDbaby.com ! Click the picture to the right to buy Without A Voice, and be sure to check out the rest of their releases on CDbaby.com .
